We respect your privacy and try to collect only what is genuinely needed for the rust-ru.com website and our Discord bots to work. This document explains in plain language what data we receive, why we need it, how we store it, and what rights you have.
This policy explains how the RUST RU team handles the data of rust-ru.com users and of members who use our bots on the Discord server.
By using our services, you agree to the data handling described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website and bots.
We collect the minimum data needed for the services to work. This may include:
We do not request or store your Discord or Steam password, nor your bank card details.
When you sign in through Discord, we receive a basic profile: your id, username, and avatar. This is needed to create your account and show you in the community.
Our bots on the Discord server can see your roles, messages in working channels, and activity. We use this for statistics, notifications, and the link between the server and the website.
Linking Steam is entirely optional. If you do it, through the official Steam sign-in we receive your id and, where available, the number of hours you have spent in Rust. This is used only to display in your profile and to check a player's experience.
We do not receive your Steam password and have no access to your Steam inventory or payments.
We need the collected data to:
We do not use your data for third-party advertising and do not build advertising profiles from it.
Our Discord bots process only the data needed for their features: member ids, roles, messages in designated channels, and the notification queue used to deliver direct messages.
The bots do not read your private conversations on Discord and do not collect data outside the community server.
Data is stored on our servers for as long as your account exists and it is needed for the services to work. Technical log records are kept for a limited time and then deleted or anonymized.
We apply reasonable protection measures: access control, connection encryption, and limited permissions. Unfortunately, no method of transmitting data over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
You can:
To exercise these rights, email us at support@rust-ru.com or contact the administration on Discord.
Our services are intended for users who are allowed to use Discord under its rules. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, let us know and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the project develops. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the last change is shown at the top. We try to announce significant changes in the community.
For questions about your data and this policy, email support@rust-ru.com or contact the administration on our Discord server.
We do not sell your data or hand it to random parties. Everything we collect serves one purpose: to keep the website and bots working and useful for the community.
