🔥 BEST BINDS FOR RUST [2026]

This guide contains my best binds, console commands, and settings for Rust.
Over the years, I've collected a lot of useful commands, so I completely rebuilt this guide and divided everything into categories to make it easy to quickly find the bind you need.

📌 HOW TO INSTALL A BIND

1. Choose the bind you need from one of the sections below.
2. Copy the entire command using CTRL + C.
3. Open the Rust console by pressing F1.
4. Paste the command using CTRL + V and press Enter.
5. After installing all the binds you need, make sure to enter:
global.writecfg
This command saves the changes to your game configuration.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

• You can change the key in almost any bind to whatever key is more convenient for you.
For example:
bind f2 ...
can be changed to:
bind f3 ...

• Don't assign multiple different binds to the same key unless you understand how they will interact.
• Some Rust commands may be changed or removed by the developers over time.
• If any bind stops working after an update, let me know — I'll check it and update the guide.

🐝 HORNET

This guide will be updated as new useful binds are discovered and Rust changes over time.

Section 1 🎯 PvP / Shooting / FOV

🔎 Quick FOV 70 — "Binoculars" Without Binoculars

While holding the X key, your FOV changes to 70.
Release X — your FOV returns to 90.
input.bind x +graphics.fov 90; +graphics.hud 1; graphics.fov 70; graphics.hud 0
Useful for spotting things at long distances, tap firing, and using together with x8/x16 scopes.
Instead of X, you can use another key, such as mouse3 or mouse4.

🔭 FOV 70 While Aiming

When you aim down sights, your FOV changes to 70.
bind mouse1 "+fov 90;+attack2;fov 70"
Useful when shooting at long distances.

🤯 Powerful ZOOM with ALT

bind leftalt +altlook; +headlerp 1022;headlerp 0
Equip a weapon → hold ALT → turn the camera slightly to the side → press the right mouse button.
This gives you a very strong zoom.
And if you combine it with the FOV bind:
bind x +graphics.fov 90; +graphics.hud 1; graphics.fov 70; graphics.hud 0
The zoom becomes even stronger.

👁 Faster ALT Look Transition

client.headlerp 4
Speeds up the camera transition when using free look with ALT.
To return to the default value:
client.headlerp 1
Another option:
bind 8 client.headlerp 0

🔫 Laser / Flashlight While Shooting

bind mouse0 +lighttoggle;+attack
Automatically activates the weapon attachment while shooting — laser or flashlight.

🎮 Change Weapon Position in Your Hands

graphics.vm/_fov/_scale 0
Changes the visual position of the weapon in your hands.

Section 2 🐝 HORNET SENS

🐝 HORNET SENS

My sensitivity setup for different shooting situations.

🎯 Main Sensitivity

input.sensitivity 0.60
The other values are adjusted based on this setting.

🎯 Bind #1 — Sensitivity Change While Shooting

While aiming: 0.61
Aiming + shooting: 1.0
bind [mouse1+mouse0] +meta.if/_true "input.ads/_sensitivity 1.0";+meta.if/_false "input.ads/_sensitivity 0.61"

🎯 Bind #2 — Lower Sensitivity with CTRL

Activates only while holding CTRL.
While aiming: 0.61
Aiming + shooting + CTRL: 0.45
bind [leftcontrol+mouse0] +meta.if/_true "input.ads/_sensitivity 0.45";+meta.if/_false "input.ads/_sensitivity 0.61"

⚠️ Important

1. The binds start working after the first shot.
2. The values 0.61 / 1.0 / 0.45 are my personal setup. You can choose your own.
3. I don't recommend using too many different sensitivity values for every character position.
It's much more convenient to keep your usual sensitivity and only enable the lower value when you actually need it.

Section 3 ⚡ Interaction / Looting

⚡ Reduce Interaction Delay

You can reduce the amount of time you need to hold the interaction key:
input.holdtime "0.15"
If you experience problems opening doors, use:
input.holdtime "0.2"
The lower the value, the faster interactions with objects are triggered.
⚠️ I don't recommend setting it to 0.1.
If the value is too low, you may experience problems when quickly interacting with doors and other objects.

📦 Fast Looting with E

bind e "+nextskin;+use;+hoverloot"
Adds fast looting to the E key.
The key's standard interaction function is still preserved.

⚡ Fast Interaction with Mouse Wheel

bind mousewheeldown +use
Works alongside the standard interaction key E.
For example, it's useful for quickly picking up loot after breaking barrels.

🎯 Change Interaction Radius

Main command:
client.lookatradius [0.01-10]
Allows you to decrease or increase the interaction radius.

MY SETUP:
bind f4 meta.exec "client.lookatradius 0.01" "chat.add 0 0 MIN"
bind f5 meta.exec "client.lookatradius 0.2" "chat.add 0 0 DEF"
After switching, a message showing the selected mode appears in chat.

👁 Hide Interaction Text While Aiming

global.hideinteracttextwhileads 1
Hides interaction text while aiming at objects.
The same setting is also available in the Rust menu:
Options → Interface → Interaction → Hide Text While Aiming.

Section 4 🏗 Building / Crafting

Section 4 🏗 Building / Crafting

⚡ Fast Upgrade / Building

bind t "+nextskin;+use;slot6;+attack2;+attack;+slot6"
This bind allows you to pull out the hammer and perform a building action as quickly as possible.

⚡ Toggle Fast Upgrade Effect

bind p \~meta.exec "effects.creationeffects 0" "chat.add 0 0 FastGrade";meta.exec "effects.creationeffects 1" "chat.add 0 0 SlowGrade"
One press switches the mode:
FastGrade — effect disabled.
SlowGrade — effect enabled.
Works well together with the bind above for fast building and upgrading.

📌 How to Use

1. You must have the required resources in your inventory.
2. The hammer must be in slot 6.
3. After the enemy destroys a wall/ceiling and the cooldown ends — quickly place your own building piece.
4. Immediately press the bind key.
5. The hammer is automatically selected from slot 6 and the action is performed.
Especially useful during raids and when quickly sealing openings.

📦 Fast Crafting

input.bind equals craft.add -97956382 2; craft.add 15388698 10; craft.add 1390353317 5
The equals key is the = symbol located before Backspace.
With one press, it adds the following items to the crafting queue:
• 2 Tool Cupboards — 2k Wood
• 10 Stone Barricades — 1k Stone
• 5 Double Sheet Metal Doors — 1k Metal Fragments
Very useful when you need to instantly queue resources for crafting.

💉 Fast Crafting Consumables with Arrow Keys

↑ Up Arrow — 1 Medical Syringe
bind uparrow craft.add 1079279582 1; chat.add 0 0 "+1 Syringe"

↓ Down Arrow — 1 Bandage
bind downarrow craft.add -2072273936 1; chat.add 0 0 "+1 Bandage"

← Left Arrow — 5.56 Ammo
bind leftarrow craft.add -1211166256 4; chat.add 0 0 "+12 (5.56 Ammo)"

→ Right Arrow — Pistol Ammo
bind rightarrow craft.add 785728077 5; chat.add 0 0 "+20 (Pistol Ammo)"

NUMPAD 0 — 1 Wooden Barricade
bind keypad0 craft.add 1373240771 1; chat.add 0 0 "+1 Wooden Barricade"

After pressing a key, a message appears in chat so you can see exactly what was added to the crafting queue.

Section 5 🔊 Audio / Information

👂 "Big Ear" — Mute Game Audio and Boost Player Voices

bind F2 \~meta.exec "audio.game 0.05" "audio.voice 5";meta.exec "audio.game 0.70" "audio.voice 2.70"
First press of F2: game sounds are heavily reduced, while player voice volume is increased almost 3x.
Second press of F2: the values return to normal.
Useful when you need to hear nearby players talking more clearly. 👂

📊 Combatlog When Opening the Console

bind f1 consoletoggle;console.clear;combatlog
Now every time you open the console with F1, the combatlog command is automatically executed.
So you don't have to type it manually every time.

💾 Save

global.writecfg

Section 6 💥 Raiding / Visuals

💥 Destruction Visual Control

Useful during raids when a destroyed door or wall is still blocking your view.

Disable destruction visuals:
bind 9 effects.maxgibdist 100
Destroyed objects stop blocking your view faster.

Enable destruction visuals:
bind 0 effects.maxgibdist 0
Restores destruction visuals.

⚠️ WARNING: the 0 key may be used by other binds in this guide.
If necessary, simply replace it with a free key.

🧱 Change Object Detail

mesh.quality 28
Slightly reduces the detail of some objects.
On certain objects, this may change the visibility of model elements and open up additional viewing or shooting angles.

🔢 Remove Debug Numbers at the Bottom of the Screen

graphics.branding false
Removes the debug numbers or text at the bottom of the screen if they are displayed.

👁 Hide Interaction Text While Aiming

global.hideinteracttextwhileads 1
Hides interaction text while aiming at objects.
This command is already included in the "Interaction / Looting" section, but it also fits here as a cleaner interface setting.

💾 Save

global.writecfg

Section 7 🏃 Movement / Automation

🏃 Continuous Running / Flying

bind b "forward;sprint"
After pressing the key, your character automatically starts moving forward while sprinting.
Useful for long runs or flying when you don't want to keep holding the movement keys.

⛏ Continuous Attack

bind l "attack"
After activation, the game continuously performs the attack action.
Can be used with:
• hatchet
• pickaxe
• drill
• other tools or weapons
Useful for actions where you would otherwise need to hold the mouse button for a long time.

☠ Quick KILL on END

bind end "kill"
Pressing END instantly executes the kill command.
⚠️ Be careful with this key.
One accidental press — and your character will die.

Section 8 🛠 Other Useful Commands

Section 8 🛠 Other Useful Commands

🛏 Quickly Remove a Sleeping Bag from the Map

By default, removing a sleeping bag takes about 2 seconds.

Fast removal — 0.5 sec:
client.bag/_unclaim/_duration 0.5

Instant removal:
client.bag/_unclaim/_duration 0

Choose whichever option is more convenient for you.

🧹 Rust Memory Cleanup on a Separate Key

bind 0 gc.collect;gc.unload;pool.clear\_assets;pool.clear\_memory;pool.clear\_prefabs
Pressing 0 runs several memory cleanup commands at once and unloads unused resources.
Can be useful after a long gaming session when Rust starts using more memory.
⚠️ WARNING: the 0 key is already used by other binds in this guide.
If you want to use this option, replace the key in one of the conflicting binds.

💬 Quickly Disable / Enable Chat

bind f9 chat.enabled false
bind f10 chat.enabled true
F9 — completely disables chat display.
F10 — enables chat again.
Useful for recording videos, taking screenshots, or simply keeping the interface cleaner.

🎥 Toggle the Interface On / Off

bind f11 \~meta.exec "graphics.hud 0" "global.perf 3";meta.exec "graphics.hud 1" "global.perf 3"
First press of F11: hides the interface.
Second press of F11: restores the interface.
Useful for screenshots, video recording, and a cleaner view.

Section 9 🧹 Removing / Saving Binds

❌ How to Remove a Bind from a Specific Key

For example, if you want to completely clear the C key:
bind "c" clear
If you want to clear another key, simply replace c with the key you need.
For example, to clear H:
bind "h" clear

💾 How to Save All Changes

After installing or changing binds, make sure to enter:
global.writecfg
This command saves the changes to your Rust configuration.

⚠️ If a Bind Doesn't Work

Check:
1. Whether the entire command was copied correctly.
2. Whether the key is already being used by another bind.
3. Whether the command was changed by the Rust developers.
4. Whether you ran global.writecfg after making changes.
If a command from this guide stops working after a Rust update, let me know and I'll check it.
